Walks near Ullswater
Just back from another fantastic day in the Lakeland Fells. Plan A was Striding Edge on Helvellyn, however after some discussion, the team opted for a more chilled out route on the opposite side of the valley. Plan B really was great in every way and the perfect choice.
From Patterdale we ascended to Boredale Hause, pausing here briefly to absorb our surroundings. Then onwards to Angle Tarn Pikes and a scrambly route to the summit to add spice to the walk. A few minutes later we arrived at Angle Tarn and found a flat spot by the waters edge for lunch, some even dipped feet in the cool waters, bliss.
We returned to the valley via the isolated Hayeswater reservoir and a gentle walk from Hartsop back to Patterdale.

Stunning views, lakes scenery at its best, lots of fun and laughter, and great company.
