Lake District Holiday Ideas
It's been a busy few weeks here in the Lake District. Lots of guided walks, helping with Yoga retreats, some rock climbing days and of course some gorge scrambling.
Today we have been out with a mother & son enjoying the refreshing waters of Church Beck in Coniston. After lots of heavy rain yesterday I was expecting high water levels, but this wasn't the case. Just a nice flow of crystal clear mountain water and for the most part we had the place to ourselves.
Swimming, scrambling, jumping in, climbing and more in this watery wonderland.
At this time of year the air temperature is dropping a little, but the water temperature remains fairly constant. With our top quality 5mm full body wetsuits we all stayed comfortable and could easily enjoy the full trip through this gorge.
Thanks to Marit and Tommy for great company this morning 🙂
We do still have some availability for this coming week (half term) and can arrange gorge scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling, guided walks, and more. Please do get in touch and we'll make a plan
