Stag and hen group activities - Lake District
So far this year we’ve provided hundreds of people with fun and engaging outdoor activities here in The Lake District. Individuals, families, couples, friends, corporate days, and stag & hen parties.
Friends sometimes look at me with horror when I say I’m taking a stag party on an outdoor activity, but I love it. Yes there are sometimes (okay, often) those who arrive feeling a bit under the weather after some over indulging the previous evening. That’s all par for the course. We of course encourage all participants to arrive for their activity in good shape and feeling good, but do understand that doesn’t always happen. Be reasonably sensible and you can still have an amazing and very safe time on any of our activities.
Last weekend we welcomed a stag party to Coniston for a Canyoning adventure. 11 guys all up for a great weekend and keen to kit start it off in style.
Everyone was kitted up in a clean and dry Lomo wetsuit, then helmet, and canyon specific harness. A short walk to reach the top of the canyon then a safety briefing before entering the crystal clear water.

And what did we all get up to in there?
Waterslides? Yes quite a few and these begin immediately.
Waterfall abseils? Yes there’s two of these and to keep things nice and social we set things up so participants can go in pairs.
Jumps? Oh yes, big ones too and these get the adrenaline pumping.
Swimming? Yes. And for non-swimmers or people nervous in the water we can provide buoyancy aids.
Scrambling? Yes. Everyone will use their hands to help them progress through the canyon.
Did the guys emerge from the canyon feeling more awake and more alive than when they entered? Absolutely yes. This is the most refreshing and awakening activity I can think of.
Is this the perfect way to start a weekend? Most definitely.
