Easter Holidays in the Lake District
It's been a busy start to the season for us, welcoming many visitors to this fabulous part of the world. The first week of Easter gave some rather pleasant weather, yes there have been some sunny days. The second week saw storm Katherine sweep through and she brought an unsettled weather pattern. This didn't stop the fun and most activities were able to go ahead as planned.
Here at Mountain Journeys we are able to cater for a wide variety of visitors, so whether you're visiting on your own, with family and friends, as a couple, or as part of a group of 50, we can put together a bespoke itinerary to help you get the most out of your time here in the Lake District.
So what have we been up to recently?
We have provided numerous Family Adventure Days and all have been a stack of fun, meeting so many lovely people. Rock Climbing, Scrambling, and Abseiling at various venues across the South Lakes.
We've also spent a fair amount of time in the old slate quarries of Hodge Close and Cathedral quarry. This has been to provide the best Abseiling in the area and plenty of exploration whilst there.
There has been no shortage of Gorge Scrambling either and more of this to come later this week. Hands down this is the best activity in the Lake District. If you haven't tried it yet, it's time, so get in touch.
This weekend I had the pleasure of working alongside some good friends, supporting a Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge event on behalf of Challenge the Wild - it's always good to work alongside fellow professionals and is always helpful for our ongoing professional development.
Spending Easter holidays in the Lake District is a great idea. Time away from home but not needing to get on a plane or deal with airport queues.
