Cathedral Quarry Abseil
On Friday we welcomed back the Scottish Fire Cadets from the Dumbarton area of Glasgow. Really great to see you all again and thank goodness we had dry weather this time!
We began the day with a walk to the dramatic Cathedral Quarry, here we journeyed through the main cavern and into the smaller tunnels to experience real darkness.
After lunch - Aidan what were those sweets again? - it was time to abseil, all 45 metres of it, so a properly big wall to abseil down. A pretty fearless bunch, with most cruising effortlessly down the rock. Much fun and banter enjoyed and a generally lovely afternoon.
