Costa Blanca Activity Holidays

We base ourselves in the mountain village of Llosa de Camacho. With a population of only around 150 and one tapas bar, this is a perfect retreat for those wanting to climb or walk in the nearby mountains.  With stunning views over the mountains there can be few finer places on earth to Scramble, climb, or walk.

Nearby there are a number of recently developed ‘Via Ferratas’. Our favourite is on the huge mountain of Ponoch. Until recently this mountain was a place for the hardened enthusiast only, but with the Via Ferrata in place it’s accessible to fit adults and youngsters who have a head for heights.

With world class walking routes and a fantastic climate, this is indeed a perfect location for multi- activity adventures. A little way inland to the north is the deep ravine known as ‘Barranco del Infierno’. Here we can enjoy an amazing canyon adventure, journeying deep into the mountainside. The Limestone scenery during this excursion is jaw dropping. Fixed cables ease our way through the most challenge sections and we carry ropes and climbing equipment for the numerous abseils.

Kit list
Rock climbing shoes, sturdy trail shoes, warm clothing, waterproof / windproof outerwear, sun hat. We provide all climbing equipment (apart from shoes), however, if you have some of your own equipment, feel free to bring it along. Wearing a helmet is essential whilst at the crag.

Fitness requirements
Most of the climbing venues are only a few minutes walk from parking areas, however when the sun shines (which is often), we need to keep hydrated so carry plenty of water each day. The Via Ferrata involves a 30 minute walk uphill, followed by a very steep climb, think vertical! Mountain walks will typically be no more than 6 hours duration and will include rest / photo breaks. The Bernia Ridge traverse is around 7 hours of walking & scrambling in the high mountains.

What else is there to do?
We know of an amazing 'hidden' beach, only accessible via a short canyon descent. A visit here makes for a perfect rest day. And very nearby are dramatic caves by the sea. The beach bar near to them does a really tasty lunch too.

Dates
We arrange all courses 'on-demand' between the months of October - May. Please do get in touch to discuss dates, we may have last minute availability!
