I had arrived at Hodge Close Quarry in good time to fix up the abseil ropes, so as soon as the team arrived we could begin. The weather was being rather kind and the morning rain had all blown away, leaving clean & dry slate walls for our abseil, perfect.
Everyone had a go, some had a couple of goes, and one lady abseiled 3 times, top effort. A really good team spirit was evident from the start and this showed through the whole time, with strong support for each abseiler every time.
We saw the next team two days later for round two of the abseil extravaganza at Hodge Close. The same strong team spirit was here again, so good to see and be a part of.
