Family Activities Lake District – Tilberthwaite Ghyll Scramble is a wonderful all weather activity

It's been such a fun, action packed week, and mostly with good weather.
On Tuesday I was out with the Carey family, back for their 3rd year of activities with us 🙂

We began the day at Tilberthwaite quarries, Abseiling first, then Daisy asked to try out some of the rock climbs, so we switched to Rock climbing. None of the climbs here are at all easy, but both Daisy & Ben climbed the routes with loads of encouragement from mum & dad.

After a quick stop for lunch we put on the wetsuits and went to explore Tilberthwaite Ghyll. Right next to the quarry, this ghyll (also known as Gorge Scrambling) flows quite gently so is ideally suited to youngsters. Loads of obstacles and challenges along the way and a plunge pool at the top so a swim for those brave enough! Dan & Ben went for a dip whilst the girls thought better of it, sensible choice 🙂

So much fun, we wish these days could go on and on. Lovely to see you all again Dan, Kelly, Daisy, and Ben
